[ ♡ ] Blogging Challenge – Day 9, 10, 11

DAY 9: Something/Someone you're proud of. My kid sister. She does a lot and is extremely smart (too smart.) In the short time she’s been in highschool she’s probably accomplished more than I did and I did a lot in highschool. She works hard and she actually cares about becoming more educated which I have to say is not common in the normal teenager. Day 10: A story about a past relationship. It’s not a physically long story but mentally, it lasted years. I had an inexplicable attraction to him and I just couldn’t shake it no matter what or whom came into the picture temporarily. My attachment didn’t even make sense to me and at times I thought myself crazy to still feel for him the way I did after all that time. But when were in the same room together, I just knew….I wasn’t crazy. What I felt for him was real, raw and genuine. But it didn’t work, it wasn’t enough and it didn’t last. The end. DAY 11: A picture of something you dislike. No picture, just walk into your typical urban highschool and you’ll see it. I hate wastrels with a passion, that person that sits there and only exists to disrupt the class or take up space and oxygen. Dumb people with no ambition, no drive to be in school, and no brains have a special place in earthbound hell and that’s called MCDs at age 50. I know its harsh but the reality is, no effort, no future. Get out of the room, quit wasting space. For every wastrel out there, there’s a kid in another country that wants your spot and could fulfill it 10 times better than you ever can in your lifetime. ♡ PaNhia

[ ♡ ] Look of the Day - 10/21/10 Wanida Inspired

Here's my look of the day, inspired by Wanida starring Aff & Tik. I took some screen shots but couldn't find the exact moment I wanted to copy from when I watched it a few days ago so here are some close examples: Wanida Mine You can't really tell with the lighting but the look is pretty much a light pink lid with a brighter pink the crease and a plum at the outer corner. makeup: -usual face routine -eyeshadows from Coastal scents - brown pencil liner from Ulta - Mac lipstick on Costa Chic (frost) - Maybellene Falsies Mascara and Covergirl lashblast Hair: -blow out again, with added poofing Hair post poofing outfit shot: screen shots are from Wishboniko's Channel on youtube: Wishboniko

Xti did a routine makeup post at her blog: http://beatificcaptures.blogspot.com/ and I decided cool, I'll do a response post! My routine is a lot longer than hers unfortunately because I wear more make up but here goes: 1.) Wash face with Origins Checks and Balance Cleanser 2.) Pat face down with towel then tone with Origins Purifying Toner 3.) Moisturize and Protect with Neutregena Visibily Even Moisturizer with age defying helioplex and spf 30! ***bonus step (just started doing again): use Murad eye cream in spf15 4.) Use either Vasceline lipblam or eos lipbalm in Honeydew 5.) Prime face with Smashbox Photofinish face primer 6.) Use a lighter concealer under my eyes to brighten them up 7.) Put on Foundation (Revlon Photoready in 007) 8.) Conceal spots with Mac concealer in NC30 9.) Put on blush on the apples of my cheeks 10.) Define my cheekbones a bit with bronzer under the blush 11.) Use BareEssentuals Mineral Veil to set all my makeup 12.) Prime my eyelid with Smashbox or NYX primer 13.) use an angle brush to fill in my eyebrows using a brown shadow 14.) highlight my lid all over with a vanilla or light color 15.) use a color on the lid 16.) color on the crease 17.) color on the outer corner 18.) eyeliner on top and bottom if desired 19.) do hair for 30 mins 20.) curl eye lashes with Shu Uemura curler and put on mascara (I do this after hair because I don't want my curler to touch my liner when its still fresh) 21.) line lips with nude liner on the outside 22.) and finally liptstick! wheww, that was long. Maybe I'll do a post with actual pictures one day!

[ ♡ ] Eye Primer Testing - Loreal, NYX, Smashbox

So I did an earlier post about my new Sephora purchases and included was a Smashbox Photofinish Eyelid Primer. This is the fourth lid primer I've tried and after using it a few days I can finally give a solid review. I've decided to compare it to the other three primers I already have and did a swatch to see which one yields the richest color. My lighting is not wonderful but here are the results! As you can see, the NYX primer does the best job yielding the most intense color payout. I used a taupe color from a Maybellene quad to do this because I wanted to see what happens to lighter colors and shadows that aren't that pigmented to begin with. If I had done a color from UD, well, you wouldn't see that much difference. You can also see that the loreal decrease actually makes the shadow lighter than the shadow on its own. The Smashbox comes in a close second but still loses to NYX. Happy Priming!
